The “how” is the purpose of this product. However, the “how” is not a checklist. Teaching culturally relevant lessons begins with a commitment to social justice and anti-racist work. It is the belief of the creators of this product that if you are not doing the very difficult work of dismantling the dominant narrative of white supremacy that lives in each of our heads, you will not be able to give children of color what they need. Education is still the key to freedom; however, schooling in America has become one of the major tools of maintaining oppression. This product has been developed for those who are committed to making a serious change.
